Me neither, I've never had or wanted a replica helmet and I suppose there's loads of Rossi/Dunlop/Doohan helmets around but this is a bit different.
What gets up my nose is that people think the only reason I got a tour cross is because of E and C .

Trouble with replica helmets is they're too 'busy'.
The designs (sometimes) look great close up, but from a distance it's all a blur of colours.

I prefer something with distinctive colours and an unmistakeable design. Last replica lid I bought was a Shoei Gardner.

You could spot it a mile off.

Barry Sheene (RIP) was another. It was the only design with the eyes on.

Compare those to the 'IP & DIP' (Charlie & Ewan) designs and there's no contest. They're crAp - just trying to cash in. I was given the Long Way Round DVD for Christmas. Spent most of the time fast-forwarding it:

"Coming up in LWR - Charlie cries & swears and Ewan calls for backup."
Then about 5 mins of interesting footage.

Then - "Next time on LWR.......... Charlie swears and cries, Ewan calls his Mummy on the sat phone."

Then you go to the next episode and it repeats the last episode of complaining.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Charlie's Dad should of pulled out and splashed him up the wall. Yes they've brought bike travel to the masses, can't deny that. If it ticks your boxes then we'll just have to agree to disagree - one man's meat and all that.

I'm going off on a bit of a tangent here, but anything to do with that double act puts me right off.

To prove it I also got the LWR book and Race to Dakar DVD for Xmas: If anyone wants them all for free (you pay postage) then send me a PM with the reasons why you REALLY want them.

Can't say fairer than that. Just consider I may quote you on the forum!

I have a set of genuine Long Way Down-style underpants skid marks for sale. These are just like the skid marks in the two super stars' undies (Charlie's in light brown and Ewan's in dark brown).
Impress you mates when camping by taking your undies off in an open field and showing them your Long Way Down skid marks.

    Two XRV750-M ('91) RD04s on J ('92) plates.
Laser Pro Duro, crash bars, bark busters, heated grips, GPS, topbox, Alu Boxes, Scotoiler, Starcom, ciggie lighters and XRV stickers.

Perverse little independent soul that I am, it actually stopped me buying one when I recently replaced my lid...
RD07a, reg in 2001, Black, heated grips, short screen, Scottoiler, Givi top box and panniers, DataTag, full Riky Cross crash bars, Baglux tank cover, Facet pump, mostly 200 miles to reserve and presently a lot happier since being loved up at Chad's hospital for sick ATs!

Don't tell me, couldn't fit your hair in.

Wish I had enough hair for three people. Think my lid size has actually reduced!
