i love going for a good long spin on me bike most Sundays. weather does not bother me, i can take it. providing my oul girl, Betsy can as well. but the thing is. i meet the odd biker on the road. and what i find is, if they have a cruiser style bike, or a low rider. basically if they are wearing a half face helmet, you know the types of bikes now. they DONT wave back to you. is their some, sort of code for waving, that i don't know about. were all bikers man. i even wave to someone, that's on a Honda 50. i think next time, i shall carry one of them big foamy finger things, and just pop them in the head, as I'm passing them out.

I have found the same thing. Except that it is only from riders of a certain make of bike. Cruiser riders who ride rice burners are as friendly as anyone but those who ride Hardly Davidsons are way too important to nod to the likes of us. We're so no worthy .

Doesn't happen on the continent. Over there, we're all friends together as it should be.

i agree,Harley and also Goldwing riders seem to be up themselves (if you know what i mean?)
miserable and only see others on the same type of bike.

completely agree, I used to ride a cruiser style bike a few years ago and they didnt even let on when I was riding one of theirs.

So far up their own backsides.

too much chrome polish must do bad things to the brain!
i do clean dead bugs off of the T/A but ride it more than clean it.

I too have noticed this. The cruiser people only nod to other cruisers, the race rep bikes and leather weekend warriors only nod to each other, and the goldwing riders don't nod at anyone

harley owners wont wave for two reasons;

1. they got the yankee ural as a status symbol, because it shows theyve got £10K+ to waste like their other dentist/banker hooray mates. not because they have taste or they associate with "bikers"

2. they cant let go with even one hand because they would get vibrated off the back of the tractor (sorry, i mean bike of course)
