don't know about on here, but on the host that I use, it comes with chatroom software, that you just drop into the site.

Hudders... it has been mentioned before... many times... and then it seems to get all technical and scares people away... Barry has the right solution... just pop an irc client into the browser... providing all the technical stuff matches up and it doesnt cost too install/run I think there would be a good use for it...

I use mIRC (free) almost daily and its fine... the only problem with using that client for us people is the danger that it could reduce the "hit count" for xrv.org if people spent nore time chatting than posting... that would not be good...

There is no techy problem. It was done before. It just hardly got used as people could not all be online at once due to different work and social patterns.
