hmmm nasty hope you heal quickly mate ive got a caberg justissimo and feel its built to a fair standard but in no way as good as my tour X..i think the problem with all open face and flip lids is that they dont have the extra cheek pads that a full face lid have. and that could be a factor in the inpacts ability to push the lid into the wearers face .but can honestly say this wouldnt put me off wearing my caberg.

    just my two penneths worth

I think there are a couple of lessons here:

1 - high speed, Sunday spins, heavily laden bike on a fast'ish long haul - full face one piece helmet

2 - jaunting about where you're not pushing the bike over speed limit - flip fronts are optional.

Yes, I know, generalisations here. But if you're racing about, why chance it if none of us are 100% if flip fronts are good for high impact, or not?

And thanks for posting - helpful reminder that I'm not made of rubber after all
