    BikeJacked - by a cyclist

Had a idiot on a pushbike attach himself to the rear of the bike for a tow

He also thought it was funny to yank for all he was worth on the rear carrier trying to pull me over when we were riding slow in traffic

All the while he's laughing hysterically egged on by his mate, and hurling all sorts of abuse at me.

He eventually made the mistake of riding too far up the side of the bike, allowing my left boot a sharp 45 degree kick at the front wheel.

The ensuing entanglement of bike and rider on the pavement did make me smile.

Had something similar when I owned my scooter. Lets just say it ended with an ambulance, and it wasn't for me.

Had a few try to do it to me when I used to commute in London, a sharp brake normally cures the problem!!!

Yep - trouble was the streets I was in at the time, dense traffic slow moving, no room to filter due to less than an inch clearence beteen the parked cars, and when he sensed I was about to ''do something'' he would let go, then reattach.

I was quite proud of myslef though in the sense that until I actually had a clear shot at him, I just ignored him, so he got no reaction out of me, till he ended in a heap

Thing is as well, this was no kid, he was easily late teenager bracket.

    Whereabouts was this?
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

I remember when I was young my brother had a problem with youths snapping his car aerial off. When he did some electrical trickery and wired it to the battery it never got snapped off again. Maybe we could do the same with the bikes grab rail but we would have to fit bigger mirrors so we could get the full benefit of seeing the idoit fry.
