    Post Hands Warm

I've got a pair of three fingered Hein Gericke, in general they are warm, however the past couple of days I could have cut my finger tips off & not feel a thing. I use a pair of thermal inner gloves but tips still suffering.

    Any tips

I tried a pair of those 'spock' (live long and prosper)gloves(bought secondhand of a mate) last week and they are a lot warmer than normal gloves. However, this week I have used my Widder electric gloves and they are well toasty.

My vest seems a little less warm than I remember though. Mind you, it is 10 years old now and seen a lot of use. My solution was to wear it over my t-shirt and under my jumper, much better.

Shame then that according to Widder headquarters (Canada or America I forget which) they no longer have a supplier in the UK, so I can't replace my knocked about wiring harness. I'll have to get a few metres of the correctly rated wire and make my own. At least all the connectors are re-usable indefinitely so I'll just copy the harness and swap them onto it.

Try them without the inner gloves.

If they`re tight on yer fingers they may be reducing circulaltion and leading to cold fingertips.

The gloves should work better without inners anyway.

It`s a bit like a fleece or sleeping bag....you`ll be toastier inside if you wear nothing underneath because the released heat gets trapped inside.

Heated gloves.... no more messing about. Swallow the cost, go and buy them and never ever have cold hands again!!! I've ridden in -8 cold and they are the db's. I've also got a heated jacket which is also great but didn't make as big a difference as the gloves did.

Been trying this for the past week, does the tick. No where near as cold as they used to get. Good tip, cheers ...
