    Proper blog facility

The blog facility we have is crap..... its a really naff bit of software that doesn't really allow proper blog functionality. We were helping the company try it as beta software but as you can sense I don't get on with it!
So along come vBulletin who make our forum software and they have released blogging software that as you would expect integrates totally with the forum.
You can see it in action here.... http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/blog.php?u=11606
Do you think it is a useful facility or not? I've had people ask me about blogs to log ownership ups and downs, and travel experiences. But is it worth us moving across to the "proper" software?
The cost would be $50 per year so about £25.

If enough say they'll use it then great if not we won't bother.

Not a blogger myself Dave (I already feel I spend too much time at the computer), so any blog software is wasted on me.

Yes I guess I may be a bit biased here as I blog at work regularly.
I don't think I could keep a regular blog going here, but this sort of feature is really useful for travels, documenting as you're going, ownership trials and tribulations, even servicing records I've seen one used for!
Basically anything you'd write in a dairy that you're happy to share....

    Re: Proper blog facility

    Dave,
I tried to blog - as you are aware - with the "Wee Jack's KTM Blog"
(that I need to try to update soon !!!)

I find the current Blog a bit cumbersome - but maybe I'm not doing it correctly.???

I would try the new software - but don't buy it just for me !! I can struggle along as is .
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Another no here. Wouldn't write one, never read them. The only time I want to write a series of articles is a ride report, then I'd prefer the text to go in chronological order top-down, not bottom-up. The forum does this just fine.

Interesting but does it do anything useful that any of the free blogging sites don't already do? Apart from ease of finding them, I'm not sure what advantage integrating a blog into the site would have. (This is from an occasional random blogger who occasionally mentions bikes in his blog)
