    Helmets

I get the feeling that everyone who went to the NEC show has bought a new helmet, maybe not quite everyone but............. anyways, so what do you all do with your old helmets?

    Re: Helmets

usually cut the straps off, smash it on the deck and put it in the bin. nobody should be able to use a 2nd hand helmet anyway (unless its a few days old or never been worn, or something silly like that)

this reminds me of my mate, he noticed the pikeys at the tip take things out of the skips and put aside to sell, so when he got rid of his helmet he pulled aside the lining and put a few choice morsels from the cat litter in there, carefully replacing the lining. then strolled up to the guy at the tip and casually asked if they wanted it put aside.

    surprise!.........

Give them to my 6 year old to play with, him and his mates race up and down the garden on pushbikes / go-karts playing racing drivers and being the Stig wearing them.

The local ambulance and fire sevices wont refuse them as they use them on dummies for practice drills and scenarios.
