of to do battle with Halfords :-)

right i bought the other day a zumo online from Halfords. When it arrived and i opend the box i thought i had some parts missing.Phoned customer service on Saturday which where actually very helpfull and i also did not have to hold on for longer than maybe a minute or two.Unfortunatly the lady said she could not help me on a weekend but someone would contact me on monday
    and they did
so the guy said i was mistaken as it was a bike Satnav it would not have a Car charge lead or a dash/window mount(my mistake was i the a proper car mount, but anyway).
Now hold on a minute sunshine me says,on your website it says incl. are Motorcycle+Car power cable and Dashboard disc(not sure what dashboard disc means but neither did he when i ask him.So i did decide it was the suction window thingy i wanted)
Here is the website guys and girls.Have a look and let me know what you think before i go and rip somebody's throat out

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...tegoryId_80867

Surly being German i can not be wrong
I think the mistake they did is just copy the garmin website. If you go on there and you go into the different Countrys the specs are different.
The Difference between the UK version and the US version are "The Car lead and the Dashboard disc"
so me thinks i should get that cause they are wrong
    OR?
They call him "Ze Quiet one"
I listen to what the rice crispies tell me to do

Take Chad in with you and ask him to stand behind you cleaning his nails with a tyre lever........ you'll probably get a free toolbox as well.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

I know it doesn't help you get what you want, but for what it's worth, I've taken a few things back to halfords on their "money back no questions asked" satisfaction guarantee. I've never had any probs.

Good use that for tyre levers since the only thing we could manage last night is nipping two front tubes with them

    Hi Vader

I've just bought a Zumo 550, which came with a complete car kit - there should be a cigarette lighter type power lead for the car connection, a window mount with a suction cup. The dashboard disc is a plastic disc that sticks with the super sticky stuff and ruins your dashboard. The bike mounts should give you different options on mounting to mirror mounts, a u-bolt fixing for handle bars and a smaller fixing for any cross brace, the RAM mount and a power cable specificaly for the bike.

I only saw your thread after you had pressed the buy now button

I got mine from Global Gizmos mail order in Manchester - £347 including postage. It includes v9 extended European mapping already on the unit so leaving the SD slot for MP3 and other maps and stuff.

    Hope this helps

    Hope this helps

    Paul

PS You and Mrs Vader have a good Xmas

02 RD07a RWB, Powerbronze tall screen, Remus Grand Prix, TT crash bars, TT pannier frame, Zega style panniers, Alpos top box,TT bar risers, TT headlamp guard, Heated grips, mainstand, Heidenau K60s for road and light offroad, TKC80s for the dirty stuff, Scottoiler, Autocomm, TT Zumo mount, Zumo 550 and most of all A BIG GRIN !!! Oh, and a very nice RD04 HRC coloured Marathon Replica
