It was truely a magic day!

Pork loin chops, home made kofta kebabs, Blue Marlin steaks, Ozzie Ribeyes and hotdogs/burgers on the grill, round a beach resort pool.

Rented chef for the cooking, wives doing the salads and politely sipping "chillable red", kids thrashing around the pool. The rest of us sitting in a jaccuzzi, with the blower on high, "scooping suds", the way it was meant to be!

Weather wasn't so good here either, (30 C, but overcast, way too cold for the beach).

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Yep,remember that from SA.Was a bit strange at the beginning celebrating Christmas by the pool and having a braai
But the good thing was after stuffing your face and drinking a bit you could chill in the pool

    Re: X-mas Dinner????

I do the whole christmas dinner thing and try to do it well......

    G&T
    G&T

Homemade King Prawn Cocktail, melba toast.

Turkey, chestnut stuffing, spuds roasted in goose fat, sprouts with bacon adn chestnuts, and no end of other christmassy bits and pieces all cooked and prepared by own fair hand. Aussie Fizz.

absolutely too stuffed for pudding, so salute the queen. Then later.....

Rum flamed Xmas pud, rum & cream sauce. With a 1976 Reisling Beerenauslese courtesy of my late Dad's "wine cellar" - about £50 a bottle but free to me and awesome. In laws had a sip and "said mmmm, a bit sweet" and left the whole ****ing glass. Heathens.

Tonight.... a turkey and pickle sandwich, cheese and stuff. Save the xmas cake for tomorrow.

(I am proud of my Christmas dinner )
