Good Luck mate. I dunno about theory tests etc, as it was all steam when I passed, but when it gets to the road test, take your time, ride defensively, yet assertively with confidence. If you're a young rider, the examiner WILL be looking to make sure you're not an immature tearaway, so a nice calm chat about bikes/the weather with him before you start is a good way to put his mind at ease.

It never occured to me before that there would be new riders on this forum aspiring to AT or TA ownership, so I wish you all the best mate.

When it come to getting your bike, you are in the right place for asking questions. It is very possible to grab a cheap bargain, but always BEWARE and ask questions before parting with your cash OK. We're all here to help you mate.

Update your "User CP" or signature with your whereabouts etc, as there may be forum members in your area that will be only too happy to offer help/advice.

    Good Luck

    Bob

    Re: Got my theory booked

I have now updated my UserCP thanks for reminding me

Luckily i will be doing my test at the same place i did my CBT, the man there said i was one of the best younge rider's he had seen on the road (not trying to sound big headed) so hopefully i might have him again.

I know what you meen about having a chat etc because when i was there last time i spoke to him for a while about his hybrid enduro bike and also his dog

I think i also impressed him that i took my Tour-x helmet as he had 1, and all the correct protective equipment.

Let's just hope the theory goes smothly, im off to buy a disk to practice on today.

    Thanks alot ED

Good luck with the thoery test .

If you havent already bought one of those theory test CD's, I have a 2007 one (35 instead of 50 questions, but still more than usuable, questions haven't changed) you can have if you want it. If you want it just chuck me a PM with your address and I'll post it as I have no need for it anymore.

    Re: Got my theory booked

The hazard perception part of the theory is the hardest, not because the hazards are difficult to find, but you have to get your click just right so practice that. Too many clicks and you get no score miss the scoring window and again low or no score. My advice (fwiw) is as soon as you see the hazard click, and as you count to three slowly click on each count this will cover the whole of the scoring window and maximise your chances, try not to click more than four times consecutively.
practice is important because its technique, not the hazards that will trip you up.

    good luck mate.
