    Computer help

Is there any way to disable the auto scroll feature in IE7.

Just installed this (got fed up of windows update telling me to do it), now when I turn my mouse wheel to go down a page a little, the ferking thing keeps scrolling for another 5 lines.

    It's driving me nuts.

In CONTROL PANEL > MOUSE > WHEEL options you can change the amount of lines i scrolls per wheel segment.

Your choice in the end. Though I know that after getting used to the TABS feature in IE7 (firefox and a few others use tabs as well) I just couldn;t go back an internet explorer without tabs.

    Re: Computer help

Never used I.E. much, but after Mozilla would let me use 'my profile' anymore, I lost all my favorites.

The I.E.7 scrolling issue must be a conflict somewhere ? Setting my mouse to scoll just one line, IE7 would continue for 5 lines, set it to 5 lines, IE7 would do 20 (useally have it set to 3).

Seriously considering going Linux, rumour has it that - it works

For strange values of "works" -- yeah.

I've just switched back to linux after 4.5 years of apple. It's a bit of a shock, I've missed most of the linux desktop developments and I have to say I'm quite impressed, but coming from the mac everything is so ugly

    Hello wheeliebin

You could tried using a Linux "live" cd, which enables you to try the OS, by running from the cd. This method leaves your current OS/hard drive untouched ( although some distributions do write to the disk i.e a create a /tmp directory/ mount point) . Ubuntu is good place to start: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD

    Cheers

    Billy

P.S. Before you try it, if you do....back up any data/information you need to keep just in case...
