    Sad Day...................

.....................in our house. Our cat who has been with us for 15 years has just been put to sleep. Our 12 year old daughter knows only of her being in the house. She was a character and will a big miss. Only a cat, but part of our family. Sad sad day.

Know just how you feel - I had to take both of our cats to the vets to be put down...one in march and the other in october. They were both 18 years old and, as you said, were part of our family. I felt dreadful walking out of the vets without them but, looking back, there was no other option with them and this was by far the kindest thing.

Watching my grandad die a few years ago riddled with cancer in the most intense pain makes me seriously think that euthanasia for humans should be an option.

Very sorry dude, feel your loss, the only cat I ever had, died from a cobra bite in my next door neighbour's garden 10 years ago. Swore I'd never have another one, as nothing would ever come close to replacing him. Half Siamese/Burmese, a true character/ball bearing mousetrap, He. Lost my dog, of 14 years, earlier this year, "gutted", I have no other words to describe the feeling......sorry again, mate

Really sorry to hear about that I know how upsetting it can be, particularly for children. Pets really do become part of the family.

Bad luck matey Had this earlier in the year and it was quite a shock how much it effected me, let alone the kids.
