Pass me a sandbag, will you?

FFS, here we go again. A full night of lashing rain and we're gettin' out the sandbags. All vehicles have been moved to higher ground and everyone's keeping an eye on that lake that breached its banks last summer and flooded us out. This is getting to be a regular habit. It took me 3 hours to get home last Friday from Junc 15 on the M4 (normally 40 mins) due to flooding in the low areas and heavy snow in the high areas. Slid all the way down the hill from Minchinhampton just to find my road had been closed due to flooding.

Good job we're moving house soon higher up the slopes otherwise I'd think about fitting a snorkel on the @ and swap my leathers and helmet for one of those old hardhat divers outfits.

    Sorry to hear that Geo!

We're quite lucky, we moved a few years ago, our old house went under in the floods last summer. I drove down that road just last week, people are still living in caravans in there front gardens

If this rain keeps up those caravans will be floating off aswell.
