Last year I was hoping to get an xrv picture rally going as a bit of a site competition and a fundraiser for the site. Time committment to work got in the way - however thanks to some people I got some fantastic contributions.
So looking at the calender, July and August are a bit quiet, I got to thinking (you can leave at this point if you like):
Here's the idea:
We have an Irish, English, Scotish and Welsh team:
Each team can consist of as many members as you like scattered across the respective country up to a maximum of 8: This way competitors can chose to solve the clues not excessive distances from themselves:
Each team must declare their team members on the board before the 20th June:
Entry cost is £5 per member of the team, paid to the site: (thereby possibly raising £160 to donate to the site)
The competition runs from 1st July to 30th August:
The objective: solve as many clues as you can and visit the places - photographing you and your bike at the site. The clues will take you to lots of out of the way interesting places, and some interesting and possibly challenging roads and green lanes
The first national team to send in the most correct solutions properly evidenced wins.
Prize giving in the pub at the national
Now - the question is - is there enough interest by folks to make this work? Who'd be up for this?
