It looks like a nice bike.
The downside to owning a German tank is a normal bike does 40-50 miles per gallon a panzer does 40-50 gallons per mile
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I'm sorry to have to say it but the @ is going. It's now fixed, and with everything that's been changed on it, it's as good as new. I promised myself that once it was all up together again, I'd ride it everyday to see if I could convince myself to love it. But I just can't.

I know you all love your Africa Twins but I've not had a lot of fun with mine, it's been hard work since I've had it.

Also, it's extremely uncomfortable and I struggle to reach 100 miles before the pain sets in. I'll never do the E2E on it.

As some people have Shoei or Arai heads....... I obviously am literally not Hard ass'd enough to ride an Africa Twin. I need a nice shaped and padded seat for my delicate rear end

Stumpyfingers, I've already owned a BMW - most economical bike I've ever had.

To be fair to Annette, she has tried hard with her Africa Twin, but what with all the problems with it (that have now, at great cost and bruised knuckles, been sorted) and twice being left stranded miles from home waiting for the RAC, she has lost confidence in the 'reliable' Africa Twin

I'd rather have her riding a bike she wants to, than trying to convince her to keep on persisting with one she has no confidence with.

So watch this space - once I've taught her the 'Tarka Method' of cleaning you will be seeing it in the 'For Sale' forum

    Re: Psssst..... Tarka

the final straw came really when I was putting the exhaust back on. You know that really fiddly bolt....................I actually got my hand stuck inside the bike

Just imagine the scene if you will. Annette can you get this nut on as you've got smaller hands than me. No worries says I..'twill be done in a jiffy.

And Stormforce8 pops outside for something (which I don't know). Sweetheart I've got it on, just gonna tighten it up...................oh bugger. Jonathan I've got my hand stuck. JONATHAN. JONATHAN. JONATHAN. JONATHAN. JONATHAN. Hello, is there anyone there?

10 minutes I was stuck in the damn thing before anyone came to my rescue
