    Performance Award...

Just received my first ever performance award from Devon and Cornwall Police. I'm such an idiot!

M5 motorway, 90.65 mph over 1.487 miles, gulp.

I reckon I was extremely fortunate to get away with 3 points and a fixed penalty.

For the rest of you living here or thinking of visiting our beautiful counties be aware that the Constabulary have just started a crackdown on misbehaving drivers. They have a substantial fleet of unmarked cars and an unmarked bike too.

    Drive safely.

    Mav, how are you?

I've been going slowly for so long now that I just had to try it again!

There's an article in Bike this month which says that they're getting tougher in Lincolnshire. Sounds like zero tolerance almost.

    Re: Performance Award...

Last April I was pulled for doing 95mph on the M62 at around 7am, 3 points and £60 for the privilege. Much to my annoyance the copper informed me I was targeted as a biker, all part of a national crackdown as I pointed out to him that I was doing the same speed as the car that had passed him 1/2 mile ahead of me

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
