I may well need a bit of support

    over the next few weeks.

Physio recons in a sling for 4-8 weeks, referal to shoulder specialist for full on investigation, with a view to considering corrective surgery if required.

Not sure I fully take it on yet, but it certianly is a month off the bike, no Red Kite or April CHEC (thats round 1 of the BBC and AMCA champs. out), probably no CHEC on 11th May, no Tarrenig (if it runs), and at best first outing will be CEC on 25th May.

Thats without the surgery, if required!!

Good news is it should be OK for the Ryedale in July, and for the ease of the E2E in June!!

I'm going to have a realy clean, well sorted bike for a while, I can tell!!

    . And it bl**dy hurts!

    That's really bad news Chris.

Shame you cant get the Red Kite in , and Daz offered me his bike for Lane End too, was gonna enter with you..

Get well rested and let the shoulder heal, if you need anything just shout..

That's really crap Chris. Everyone is sending you lots and lots of positive vibes I know..... but you HAVE to let this heal properly or you WILL suffer with it for the duration.. no joking.

You can enter into thousands of rallies and enduros to come - but you HAVE to let your shoulder heal properly now mate.

    Chin up fella

Chris you really do have my sympathy, I know how frustrating it is when you can't do the things you love because your joints just won't let you.

Listen to the physio, take the painkillers and keep us posted. At this rate we'll need a new section in the forum for the old decrepid members

Founder member, Steve Austin never had as many broken bits as I have. Still have a plate and seven screws holding my right ankle together.
    Broken so far:
    two right-side ribs
Third finger left hand (at the wrist)
    Right ankle
    Right wrist
Nose (right left and centre - well it used to be centre)
    Left collar bone
    Left knee
Stitches to left eye brow, ligaments in left knee (twice)
All since I met my wife. We will have been married for 15 years next week. Do you think there is a pattern showing?
Should I divorce her just for health and safety reasons?

Thats an arse!! get well soon old bean!

See if you can find a physio who deals with climbing injuries. Shoulders, elbows and feet/ankles are common place injuries with climbers/boulderers.

I have seen some badly injured climbing freinds make incredible recoveries with good guidance so don't loose hope!
