There is a gold Routemaster I see around these parts now and again , seem to do weddings and that kind of "limmo" stuff.

Smartest looking and best sounding bus EVER - the Routmaster , I used to love the "therrump ... therrump ... therrump" tickover of the AEC when they were stopped .........

Better than all those characterless OMO - low floor - rear engined - bendy , things running around now.

I agree the routemaster is the best bus, the one in the picture is RM6 original body work just a newer engine to meet the emission test ( RM6) means 6th RM to be built

Yes they changed over from AECs to Cummins towards the end of their "reign" .......... bit of a sort of bus geek me !!! , don't know why ? I've never driven one , hardly ever travel on them , I just like the older stuff for some reason - the Bristol Lodekker FL was the bus of my yoof up here in Western SMT livery and the Alexander bodied Leyland Leopards on the distance / country routes ............................. sad I know !!
