    Most expensive broadband ever

Am on board the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare. The wireless internet, which is not fast enough to watch you tube, costs £6 for three hours.

Still, my Longest Day practise has well and truly begun. A combination of traffic and roadworks (and allu box panniers) meant 30 miles took 5 1/2 hours with three fuel stops only (one just leaving my home and one just before the ferry).

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Re: Most expensive broadband ever

I was worried I might get charged by the character so I dropped a zero.

Mind you, key thing about the Longest Day is the time on the bike, not the distance. At one stage this morning I managed 24 miles in 40 minutes (all of it motorway).
The last bit of road to Fishguard is a lot of fun though.

    That'll be a sticky choke.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

    This is true.

Last august riding back from Berlin in 2 days, about 350 km a day. Long days, 12+ hours, tagging along behind a Jawa 175 and a MZ cargo sidecar (full) with a busted clutch. Eeeeasy going, lots of time spent keeping lorries at bay while the MZ was limping up hills at 50 km/h on a 100 km/h road...

By day 2 I was comprehensively wasted.

Mileage was pretty good mind you.
