    Question Calling all Croydoners.....

.....or anyone who knows the place.

I have to get the 04:47 train off East Croydon so I need to know the closest SAFE (& preferably free) place to leave my Transalp since I'll be riding up from Tonbridge.

Is there a multistorey car park or something ?

I do know that I can leave it at Sandilands, but is there anywhere closer than that ?

    Many thanks,
    Shorty.

This is probably way too late now, but the nearest NCP is in Dingwall Road on the roundabout ...

I'm not sure I would park my bike anywhere other than a car park in that area. Besides, parking meters are everywhere until you get a fair way out of the centre of Croydon

    Re: Calling all Croydoners.....

    Thanks Tony that's excellent.

I didn't mention that this is a long term possibility for the future rather than an urgent one-off, so I'll toddle along there on an Off Day and check it out.

Pesumably I'd be crazy not not chain it to something as well ? (It's previously led a sheltered life in a safe compound in the City, but now I can ride the FCC trains for free and I'm getting sick of city commuting).

    Cheers,
    Shorty

    Re: Calling all Croydoners.....

I'd definitely consider using a chain in the centre of Croydon

I'm not sure that there's a specific area in the Dingwall Road NCP for bikes. If not then the NCP on Wellesley Road has ...

... although it's a tad further to walk.

Ok Tony thanks. Looks like I need to organise a little bikey tour round the Metropolis.
