    I Can't Belive It - Twice In A Week!!!

Having had my bike license for the last 10 years, i have never had an accident until now. -

Last Friday I got rear ended by a taxi driver who was on the phone and I was shuved into the bus lane on Park lane(London). Luckily no bus and i managed to gently drop the bike.. Cosmetic damage done to the side fairing, wing mirror, crash bars (which took the brunt of it all) – whilst my TT pannier frames took the brunt from the back.

So having rung my insurance company (Bennets) - they arranged a hire bike for me -(I thought a bit over the top) as they said that If was to have another accident prior to my @ being fixed, then I would be uninsured… - so anyway on Monday a BLACK (Fastest colour apparently on here)) Honda VFR800 arrived at my doorstep..!!!.I had always promised myself that I would never EVER get a bike like this - however beggars cant be choosers - so I decided I would give it a go..

Today, along the Edgware road, I was filtering very slowly around traffic and some old Doris walked straight into me without looking and I knocked her over.!!! I was pretty calm and got her up and walked her to the side of the road - she didn’t want any of my details and said she was fine and didn’t want an ambulance or anything...

So I sat with her for a bit and then headed off... Decided to pop into the Police station just to report it all....

Talk about bloody bad luck...im just glad that everyone and everything (in particular this scary hire bike) is alright!! – I just hope my @ comes back soon.... im not a fan of this sports bike malarkey.

Sheeet dude! That's pretty bad luck alright.

Fortunately you didn't write off the "old doris" otherwise you'd really have been in trouble!

Hope you get the AT back all sorted soon

So wot's your point......It was obviously your own fault !!!!.....

Seriously...hope you're ok...Trouble in town....it's not so much the initial impact...it's the danger they put you in the path of.....

Time they put those wardens cameras to good use and took pictures of those drivers on the phone....every time you look around in traffic half the peeps are on the phone (dog and bone to you cockney peasant chappies!).....

poor Dorris... Bikes are probably like goats... it hurts when you get hit by them

well at least shes ok and being normal and nice about it.. i once had a similar accident.. but mine was with me in a MK2 Escort and an old lady on a Zebra Crossing.. luckily she was also a nice person.. bad skyrise...

after that i promised my self that i would do the same if some wally nearly/just knocked me over..

but hope you get your @ back... sports bikes are no substitute.. but should build up your arm muscles quite nicely..
