Somebody bought a new bike today.....

I had a couple of likely lads turn up at my house today - and after a brew, and some mutual @ appreciation - Annette's @ has gone on to pastures new

I'll let him introduce himself when he gets back home - but here's a clue:

The phrase 'to be sure' was used (albeit only the once)

Like a well planned expedition this included an airport, a 4x4, a short ride in company and a long ride on pillion - don't you just love the dedication of a fellow @ rider

Really good to finally meet you guys - and if we don't see you before, we'll be seeing you at JOG in June

Re: Somebody bought a new bike today.....

    Hi Folks,

Thats me in the top pic ,and allthough I was just acompanying my brother, there is something bout getin a NEW BIKE

we have been on the lookout for the right bike for some time now,and had some disapointments

We flew to Bournemouth from Dublin and were met by Stormforce8 at the Airport and brought to his place to pick up the Bike, top man ,
got engrosed in conversation over brew, and nearly forgot that we stil had a good journey ahead of us He very kindly then led us on to the motorway from his place and we said our goodbye's and hit the raod,

the Journey ahead was 350miles ,into north wales, and it went without a hitch, the bike didnt miss a beat

forgot to mention after SOME serious work from srormforce8 and Annette it's an absolute minter,2003 REG not to mention FAST BLACK

Once we got into the hills in north Wales(such a beautieful country)couldnt help ourselvs and decided to have a scot around the hills, and get a later ferry, had to travel across more hills into Liverpool to do this(its a hard life!!)got the 10oclock overnight ferry home to Dublin.
The bike is now proudly in its spiritual home here in the Capital, and awaits Adventures new,in a couple of weeks time a tour around the north of this country, and then across to the other island for
THE LONGEST DAY HAPPY DAYS AHEAD
Me Brother Tezzer also a member of this forum can now proudly Join in as a fully fledged member and proud owner of the best bike in the world (up to now he owned a purple&green KLE 500 )SORRY BOUT THAT ,
He is now officially defrocked and can nolonger claim the title of
"the only gay in the village"

As much as we enjoyed the scoot an all,and it was good practice for the longest day,the thing that stands out most to us ,and made this deal more doable, gave it the good luck, and feel good factor, was the way in wich Stormforce8 & Annete conducted things, from the outset to the outcome and for that we are grateful.

its a testament to the great people that make up this great forum
looking forward to meeting more members soon,

    "go raibh maith agut"

    Cheers,

    Tony k

My @ has lost it's soulmate now...............

It's just not the same having to share the drive with a BMW

Anyhoo - it's gone to a good home and will enjoy the open roads of the Emerald Isle better than our tourist trap roads around here and we'll be seeing it again soon..............

Tony / Tezzer - sounds like you had a fantastic ride back home
