They've go it in for me !

[Victor Meldow Mode ON] I don't belieeeeeve it! [Victor Meldew Mode OFF]

In January, I decided to do my first ever motorcycle tour, camping, the whole thing, for 10 days.
I've booked time of work, I've planned the route, I've serviced the bike (including tappets!). I've done the oil and filter change. I've fitted a scottoiler. I've put new rubber on, front and back. I've got some panniers, and all the kit. Where am I going? Scotland - you know the place - where the oil refinery chaps are going on strike. They're talking of major fuel shortages, and empty petrol stations. Bugger. Do I still go and hope for the best, or call the whole thing off ? With a bit of luck they'll call the strike off, and it'll all be Ok.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Thanks for the advice (reassurance). Looking at the weather here today I'll need to take a boat as well!
I'll post some pix when I get back - "Here's me in the fuel queue in Glasgow", "here's me in the fuel queue at......".

If you get into bother , I can always come and give you a backie on my bicycle !!!

Don't worry about this strike business my prediction is that it will come to fook-all , it's being hyped by the press to make winkers panic buy and create a shortage so the press can do a bit of doom and gloom reporting.

If there are shortages at all , they will be in the urban areas , in the rural areas the useage is lower, there should not be much problem.

Have faith , it's part of the adventure ..........
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!
