    just watched On Any Sunday

on the extreme sports channel(419) on sky tv. had seen bits of it before but not all in one go. what a good film its too. got a real "feelgood" theme all the way through.

cant believe some of the riding gear the guys use. and right at the start is a kid on a pedal bike doing a monster wheelie that he pedals of a long, long way.

go watch it if you can.

One of my favourite films about bikes as well

I think they way the film starts with the kids is brilliant as well (particularly the freeze frame as they're going over the jumps on their chopper bikes and the expressions on their faces). Kind of sets the whole tone of the movie for me that intro (and the kid doing the wheelie as well ofcourse). A lot of films about bikes seem kind of pretentious to me, but that film seems to convey the joy of it all really well while avoiding the usual cliches.

Riding around on bikes as kids is where many people I think get their first interest in motorbikes (even if like me it takes them years into adulthood to actually get around to getting one). I still remember riding around on my old chopper (before some git nicked it) and raleigh grifter with the plastic flap on the front mudguard turned inwards so it made a motorbike noise against the tire. Then the whole BMX thing happening.

Riding around for real now, I sometimes kind of flash back to those happy and exciting times as a kid and get a similar feeling of exhilaration as I did then.

    Top film.
Definately catches the fun part of riding.
For me - a Raleigh 'Extra' Burner after E.T. was on the pictures, later followed by an old Montessa Cota trials bike through the woods.

It's been very difficult to get that amount of fun (on 2 wheels) ever since without loads of paperwork and/or cash.
