    new gear

    Well nearly,
Popped in the Hein Gericke shop in Stockwell today, met Lord Vader's mate who manages the shop, Paul, and showed him the damage to my gear. I got a replacement paid of the new trousers and ordered a jacket as they did not have my (large) size (they never actually have all the right sizes in Hein Gericke, for some reason). Decided on the hip armour this time too, which Paul threw in for free (£20 saving).
This works out brill because it means I claim the full cost of the jacket and trousers back from the insurance and genuinely get the armour for free.
Should have the jacket in time for the Longest Day. The rest of you are going to look like scruffs next to me.
Anyway, Thanks to Lord Vader and Paul and Hein Gericke.
