    TLD Charity

Do we keep MacMillan as the XRV official charity or do we rotate the charity we support each year?

Macmillan is a fine organsiation, but there was some discussion about supporting Mountain Rescue. J and Sharribee volunteer with them (possibly others here too) and there was a recent news article about how they sometimes have to pay to fuel the vehicles etc etc. Can't find the thread sorry.

Almost 100% of charity's deserve money, but generally as we can only choose one i can't see a better caus than cancer.

I do think a rotation is good, not sticking with the same one. Also McMillan is very well subscribed by many others and is a popular org to choose, mainly because so many know of people who have required their help. Maybe could even choose 2 and do a 60/40 split to lesser well known charitys. Just thoughts

Breast Cancer Care is a good one, but lets be honest we could go round in circles.

I think a change would be good - once we get a list of who nominates what then we can set Alpslapper loose with another poll.........

personally i think there is none better that a childrens charity localised charitys have the problem of the people local to them are only interested ie air ambulance and suchlike...so if you want to raise big money its got to be a national one ...nothing more heart breaking than ill kids
