    Dilema

Do i continue to ride my bike off road and potentially totally ruin a 3 and a half grand bike, or do i just keep it for road and very light off road use?

Trouble is i love going off road, but i just don't want to break it

    I think i have a big problem

Get another smaller bike for off road use.
the TA is an adventure bike, it is designed for road use including unpaved or dirt track roads as seen in Africa.
for serious off roading get an XR.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Have to agree, and you are a young lad with no serious overheads like kids and mortgage, I guess. I think an off roader is far more sensible.

Not sure I'd agree with this.

For "fast" off roading, get an XR, but I've not been anywhere on the XR that the TA wouldn't have got through! I know that. .
