Wow what an amazing read! Read right through it LV - I could hardly believe the development that showed one of the posters that had arguably been baiting you from the early stages was a partner in the business masquerading as an ordinary forum member. Made nonsense of the sham 'legal' posture they'd adopted... shows them to be complete amateurs too.

    Brilliant.

Great outcome in the end too, though sad that you had to work so very hard to get the kind of service that I'd have expected to be entry ticket stuff in the BMW world.
RD07a, reg in 2001, Black, heated grips, short screen, Scottoiler, Givi top box and panniers, DataTag, full Riky Cross crash bars, Baglux tank cover, Facet pump, mostly 200 miles to reserve and presently a lot happier since being loved up at Chad's hospital for sick ATs!

Re: Problems with my Panzer or the story of how not to treat a customer

Did you copy and paste that job advert - or are the spelling mistakes your own?

"ADVISOR" - It's "adviser" in English.

"Customer" - Why the capital letter?

"orgainised" = organised (or, perhaps organized if they're writing for an American audience)

"posses" = possess (what they've written is the plural of "posse" Yee-ha, cowboy!)

"Are you Customer focused, a good communicator, orgainised, computer literate and posses strong all round motorcycle technical knowledge." To me it sounds like a question, so where's the "?"

If their customer advisers are of the same mettle as the people who write their job adverts, no wonder they're in trouble.

They have had a perfectly sound legal basis if they believed Vader's claims to have been libellous.

Unfortunately, to be able to sue Vader for libel they would have had to prove his statements were untrue. Obviously they weren't sure of their ground!

Good story. Good you found out what happens when you buy a wonderful machine. Moral to the story, buy a Varadero. Better bike by far.

even though you got the bike sorted pete you should still continue to persue this and get BMW to take their franchise away from them

I agree they are setting a bad example and should not be allowed to represent the BMW brand.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
