    Gave a biker a scare.

This morning, on the way back to the garage I served sharply to stop a motorbike from overtaking the bus.
It was a one way road and if he had gone past me at the speed he was doing he would have been killed.

By the car driver doing 50 mph the wrong way up the road.

Good job you were more aware of what was going on than the other two, methinks!

Did you get any appreciation or recognition for your efforts?

Bloody hell Stumpy that was quick thinking. I hope you made it clear to the car driver what you were thinking.

I got the one finger salute from the biker.

Well at least you know you did your part... In all fairness, it probably was pretty hard for the biker to understand what you were doing.

...and quite right too. Bloomin bus drivers

Seriously though, well done Stumpy. Some people seem to ride along in a daydream just begging to be a statistic. I bet he'll be bleating on a forum somewhere about the idiot in the bus swerving into his path deliberately

I take it then that the biker didn't even notice the car coming the other way???

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

He was one of those who blast up behind you and at the last minute pull out and fly past you.
So I think he could only see the rear of the bus.

Re: Gave a biker a scare.

On another forum in a galaxy far far away there's probably a biker posting obscenities about a bus driver who nearly killed him today

Well done Stumpy - we appreciate it even if the biker involved didn't !
