Well, I took florrie to get some new shoes fitted, got myself some Conti Escapes. The garage is only 5 minutes from home and I left there at 11am, got home about 430pm
As I was leaving Thunderroad I got chatting to a couple of lads and debating the best colours for Hondas, it was agreed that RWB was the best looking but black fastest
Had a fabulous day. pottered up to the brecon beacons and over some of the mountain roads to get the tyre nice and worn in. THe bike handles so much better, the wobble has now completely gone and it's a joy to ride.
Stopped for a cup of tea at a burger van, as I got off the bike there were 3 blokes at the van and the comment was "bloody hell your not an ugly hairy biker"(Whealie - not a word
!!!!!!!!!!) and that's a cracking bike there
aint it great when someone notices your pride and joy
One of the guys was riding a KTM Duke and we chatted about tyres, bikes, my bike and it turned out that he'd been to Afghanistan with a few of my friends in work. Finished my tea and headed up over Penderyn and toward Treherbert and on the other side of the road was another AT just like mine - Twinburner who turned around and we stopped and had a little chat.
Got home with an empty tank and I had an absolute blast, it stayed dry all day and it's the first time out on my own other than commuting.
Now tucking into some dorritos, dips and a bottle of Stella.
What a fabulous day
I love being a biker
