No reports from this year`s Stella Alpina ??

I missed travelling to this year`s Stella Alpina due to it clashing with a special purpose tour of France.

I believe it still took place at the normal time and location but can`t see any reports from XRVers (nor anyone else for that matter....).

I wanted to read about and see just how different the track is after the grading and widening work that took place.

A main reason for this is that I`m plotting a Ural Invasion of Italy 2009 and want to know if the event still has the lure and appeal of old.

Can anyone help a Tarka in need ????

I have mentioned a germ of an idea for 2009.

Leave London (Portsmouth/Dover/Plymouth) on Friday 3 July. Head for the Picos, then Pamplona for 7 July for the Sanfermines Bull running festival (I may be able arrange secure parking and even floor space/some beds).

Head though the pyranees and Adnorras to Italy in time for the Stella on Sunday 12 July (arriove Saturday 11th).

Leave immediately (thos who wish to stay my do so) to head to Paris for Bastille Day 14 July. Back to uk on 15th.

Just an idea at this stage. But if you are interested.
