    Utter disrespect....

My missus did her CBT in the summer and finally she now got her 1st bike, a 2006 Honda CG125.
So this afternoon we went for a tootle, i expected her to ride slow since this was the 1st time out since 5 hours CBT back in June. So in true 'instructor style' i rode trying to watch her back, and stop her being as vunerable.

Now she had the L plates and Hi-vis jacket on, and this just gave every moron car driver a ticket to try to kill us, almost pushing into the kerb, on 3 seperate occaisions i was nearly knocked off by drivers passing us round blind bends even though we were both in the correct road position and actually doing the speed limits.

On one occaision, we pulled up at the lights beside one dick head who forced his way past a few seconds earlier, when i aggresivly peered into his passenger window he went all shy and darn't look at me, i was really mad, not only for doing what he did to me, but for the total disrepect for my wife - i got all over protective !

Im simply amazed how drivers treat learner motorcycles and its scared me knowing my missus will be out there alone (eventually)........It's not fazed her at all which is the best way really.

Sorry to hear of your experiences.

Take the number plates and report the offenders to the Police.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

They wont be interested Lutin .

But if you are out with your missus again Dom, try riding behind and slightly to the right of her position (when it is safe to do soand it will improve your forward obs), it will force any w*nk*rs to move right out if they want to pass, therefore creating a larger "safe " space for the good lady..

    domonic and wife!!

sorry to hear about your encounter with the morons, (there everywhere mate)

i was told by the police riders on the bike safe course, treat all drivers as though the are going to try and knock you off , at all times!!
and command the road space, dont let them imtimidate you.
(not trying to tell you how to ride, but this is what i always try and do.) i have a mate who ,when he had only passed, would be in front of me and i would postion my self in the middle of the road right in front of the cars behind, and keep them behind you, they will just have to wait, unless they are really hell bent on getting past you then let them, when your ready and it's safe.

    glad she's o.k.

Great news (missus) let her get on with it then , she'll learn more, grow in confidence faster and enjoy herself more without you twittering about behind her (no offence intended mate ).

Tell her good luck from me..

Thats me, top twitterer !.........no offence taken

I never have these kind of issues normally on my own - although you get idiots everywhere, they just seem to aim for learners......

She's taking her test on this bike, then she's set her mind on the Kwak 250 Ninja (it has to be green) - im so ashamed!.....lol

Around here they just aim for bikers in general, I just let them go tuntil the next set of lights when I leave them for dust by getting a couple of Buses between them and me.
I like the Kwak 250 Ninja, the only green you will see is envy.
