Attention nokia phone owners

Yes i know i did want too shout this!!!!!!!
this morning doing a little research into a phone on the Nokia website (firms contract get em new phones quite regularly) i found a little snippet of info,there is a small chance batteries are likely to catch fire on some phones while charging, anyhow it only concerns a batch of the BL-5C batteries go too this page and look it gives you a place to enter the serial number of your battery and it will tell you if you are entitled to a free new one, good way of getting a new gen battery, apologies if you already know

Thanks for the heads up, checked the wife's phone and although it was a BL5C battery, it wasn't one of the ones.

They issued the recall in August 2007

I sent off for two of them, sent the originals ones back after they sent me the new ones, then they sent me two more ???

Yup, I've got a BL5-C squeezed into my 6300 (which gives me a couple more days battery life - top tip), and it's OK. The recall was a while ago now, so I think most of the faulty ones have been taken back, however, it's always good to check....
