    Classic Bike????

    Hi All

I am in the final throws of re-building a 1988 600V TA which I bought over 18mths ago (as a pile of bits) and have been slowly doing it when time and money allowed. Can anyone please tell me whether the bike will fall into the classic bike insurance and which is the best company to go with for the cheapest quote.
    Many Thanks Chalky

    Newport Pagnell ?

Did they not use to build some special cars there ages ago?

Anyway, I cheer anyone that rebuilds their early TA!

Astons, Kjell ! Back in the 60's they used to close the M1 Motorway (which was close by)during the early ours of the morning to allow Aston Martin to speed test their cars.In those days there was a coach service on the MI called the Midland Red,that boasted a cruising speed of 100 mph ! Those were the days. (Somebody accused my mom of being an irresponsible parent for taking me on it ).Oh well back to the thread, sorry.

You'll be pleased to know that Bury Field is still there totally unchanged, so your memory of happy days gone by remain intact!!!!!

Aston martins no longer made in Newport, they closed the production line down last year and moved it to Oxford, they do still retain some of the newer building for servicing the Vanquish and some of the older models though so all is not lost and the town is still proud to be associated with the AM brand
