Taking a F800GS out for test ride today

I've got a test ride booked on a F800GS this morning, nice weather for it.

Will I be tempted to move to the dark side or will the ride make me appreciate the finer points of my Africa Twin?

Having ridden the 1200GSA, I think you'll find it a lovely bike, and you'll like the extra power, but probably not the price tag.

Well, I taken the bike for a spin, got completely soaked and written up a brief report here.

    Will I be changing???

Lets just say I'm going to sleep on it

Nice report completely unbiased and honest.

This sums up the 800 pretty well, its a "not sure" bike. Which is a shame really, the 990 presses all the buttons but its not to all tastes. and the @ just does everything quite well but has its age against it.

Take your time in deciding Russ. Maybe ride the ADV again now you have been on the BM.

    Great ride report Rush
Sounds to me if you liked it in ****e weather it could only get better. I think they tick all the right boxes. A lot of me thinks the seat issue that gets written about is a strange thing. I have an 1150 GSA and used to own a TA and on both for days in the saddle I use an airhawk, so the seats on any bike are not the greatest.
Yellow and black is very sexy, and the list of farkles is fabulous

I agree with Phil it ticks all the boxes. I think this bike is a dark horse and there are lots of things to come from this machine.
