No, We used to have to use a skid pan but they have stopped that now.

Power Steering, lifting Tag axles, air suspension, auto boxes, tilting suspension for them low kirbs buses are easier nowerdays than the old Atlantian double deckers with semi automatic boxes. good effort on the driver. used to hate working on the coaches as they cost 100 grand up

The only real difference is the bodywork.
fewer seating and larger doors, the chassis and engine / gearbox are the same.
This is the main cause of the breakdowns, the setup is for cruising, not the stop / start of town bus work

Buses stay in towns and cities coaches do the long drags. I worked as a techy for MAN truck and BUS out of cardiff and swindon
