    Life's not fair

That is an adage I always tell my kids but it gets brought home every now and then.

A mate from the rugby club was rushed to hospital on Sunday with Meningitis. He died today, leaving a wife and five kids.

I am going out for a long walk in the dark where nobody can see my tears.

That really sucks, but life is like that you never know what's around the corner.

I feel for the family he left behind.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: Life's not fair

Thanks all. This really hit me more than I thought it would.
Went for a walk in the fog and cold and cooked up a curry and spent some time chatting to my kids etc. Feel a whole lot better.

Have spoken to/emailed a few people from the club too. Will head there on Saturday and drink a few pints and no doubt have a whip round for his missus.

About 12 years ago, when my wife and I had a car crash and my wife was in hospital, the club whipped several hundred quid for us (I mean about £600 ore so, from memory).

We had a guy break his neck the whip established a trust fund it was so big.

That's the sort of place it is - a bit like here really.

    Great to be among friends.

Sorry to read that mate. Awful that it was so sudden. But well done for doing what you can to work through it, always helps to have a blub but being blokes you have to get away somewhere first!
