    Re: Stolen Mk1 Escort

    He has put this on the RD forum yesterday and i think he is still looking but i am sure the thanks apply to all here as well

    Still no sign of the car. Thanks for all your help. I actually got a call from Penrith Police who told me what Northants Police should be doing. I also got an email from NI Police advising me to contact Eire Police and provided me with a link. Northants Police did contact me and said they were going to check the ANPR system, but this was almost a month after the theft.
    Ebay pulled the advert and issued me with a warning, but I have had a fantastic response from car and rally clubs. If you google MK1 Escort YVJ 548K, it's everywhere. If nothing else it may have got the people a little worried.

    Thanks everyone.

    Stolen suzuki drz 400s

    My DRZ went walkies from outside my house over the weekend while I was away.

    The thieving scumbags cut right through the chain and must have wheeled it away leaving the chain dangling in the ground anchor. Neighbour heard the chain being pulled through the wheel on Saturday night about 11.30pm but didn't know we were away. The worrying/scary part is that it was almost certainly scoped out, or we disturbed their prior theft attempt, on Thursday evening about half an hour after I got in from work on the bike...while were sat in the house.

    It's a blue and white, or white and blue 2001 Suzuki DRZ 400S Reg Y949 GDW. It has a white UFO tail light/rear end (not seen one on another bike), ally bashplate, ally chainguard, renthal bars, renthal grips, blue UFO handguards, a rear rack, Rugged Roads sticker on the front mudguard, Dunlop knobblies, a Stella Alpina sticker on the rear fender and a tool/lock bag bolted to the rear rack (rear rack is non-standard to these bikes) with a discreet XRV National 08 sticker underneath, big DRZ stickers on the forks and swingarm, shiny manual cam chain tensioner, rear-peg eliminator etc etc etc.

    Eyes peeled please peeps.

    Will keep em peeled. Any chance of a photo so we know what we're looking for? There's lots of detail, but I wouldn't even know what shape it is...

    Re: Stolen suzuki drz 400s

    That's the one yeah...forgot you had those pics!

    Few more extras on it when it went than in those pics, but you can see the custom tail end quite clearly there...as I say, not seen one on another DRZ.

    <sigh>
