Signed it without much hope that it will be listened to. I am torn between rage that the government isn't just taxing cars off the road but now its hell bent on bikes too. Soon there will be no cheap/affordable means of independant travel. I remember reading that transport costs in the UK are amoungst the highest in the world. High tax, insurance, MOT and service costs all add up. On the flip side, I have to admit that for me, and many other bikers (although I know this is not the case for everyone) my bike is a luxury/toy. If you can afford one, can you not afford the tax that comes with it? For those of us on the boarder line we'll have to tighten the belts a bit more.

To finish up this dismal email, how long will it be before normal Brits start to push back and say enough is enough. There are families near me that have not worked for three generations. We're paying for them. Thats where the savings need to be made. I will willing lend a hand to those who will help themselves, and help me, but we need to stop giving our tax money to those who are just on the take.
