Not just the mates, Get the local scum around to mame them then just fill in the hole and bury them.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

It's not a hole thats been dug out

It's actually a transportable wall usually made out of wooden plankets.

They are sometimes refered to as "Wall of Death" (Wonder why)

Here in Sweden we had one in use up untill some years ago.

Quite popular machines were Indian Scouts Sidevalves for some reason.

I'm not so sure with this on Kjell. If you look at the background I think this could be a permanent dug out.

Certainly the UK one is a wooden portable version, but it's much smaller and you couldn't run a hatchback in it! They did run a steam powered bike around it at the West of England Steam Fair a few years back though!

it looks like you can see the sun through the slats on the far side.

Also if it were a big pit, the cars bikes and people would need lifting in/out with a large crane

I figured very large crane, but on second viewing I think your right about the slats. Scary!
