Well that test ride didnt last long

So I let the XT go today and going to go old skool air cooled.
    I have some choices
    DR350 maybe too small
XT600 or Tenere. Proper bike Love this

    DR650. Grunty
Dominator. Sometimes all I hear is fragile but love them
XR600. maybe too enduro focused with its gearing
Realistically this does free up some cash as I need a 4 wheeled tool also as I have a bit of work lined up during the summer and freezing/ heavy rainy days I dont have to rely soley on the bike

I think its fun test riding bikes I should write my own dual sport review magazine
Yes thats the one . Black DR350 with 4k miles plus a bit.
Very similar to the XR except everytime I go out with guys on DRs the road work seems much nicer. I was thinkin of going for another XR4 and changing it with large tank better dual sport/road tires and a fully comfy seat. Cabbage gets an easy 70 on his DR which is great for me if they do do that. Hey if it doesnt fit the bill ,test ride will be over
One thing with DR 350s is easy resale, they seem to be getting more popular

Re: Well that test ride didnt last long

Well went along to see DR with my wad of cash and first thing I noticed was it looked scruffier than the pics, not bad for a 10 yr ol off roader but not the same. Chain and sprockets on ad were described as new and Mike who came with me spotted it needs a new chain and the guy said " they were new 18 months ago".
Then I thought ok have a look at the docs and the log book was the old style with an address from Abergavenny, not Abertillery where I was looking at the bike. His explanation was he never puts his name on log books as it bumps up the owners. Alarm bells rang and I gave him £10 to cover his advertising and walked away.

    So new test ride planned
