    Anyone read UMG?

I found GoodMotorcycles.com: two million words on new, secondhand and used motorcycles, bikes and cycles and there's some good reads on there, both plain reviews of old hacks and reader's stories of living with them.

Can't help but feel like a softie though, every story for every bike seems to list things going wrong every 5000 - 10,000 miles! There's talk of routine engine swaps, cobbling in engines from other models and even other makes!

Have bikes really improved that much? For 40,000 miles all mine has needed is oil changes, petrol, valves done, carbs balanced, various bearings, and consumables.

We're spoilt nowdays it would seem!

Fascinating to get a 'feel' of what biking used to be all about. British bikes i'm a bit young for but early Jap stuff I can relate to!

I like the Transalp read, It mentions British bikes giving it a run for its money until they left to many parts behind.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
