Isn't that just a wee bit over the top, even for a BSA A10??

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Re: How to build your own Crank shaft

Happy memories there for me - I used to be a Production Engineer at John G Kincaid and Co Ltd - who had Burmeister and Wain , and Sulzer licences. We used to build some monsters. The biggest I remember being involved in was a B&W 11 cylinder K90. (900mm piston diameter). From memory it had a rating of 36000 HP PER CYLINDER = just short of 400,000 hp at 90 RPM. This was installed in a tanker called the World Score.
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

ha so you had a white coat then,, being an Engineer

( played with industrial RB211s when I was offshore.. A single set could deliver 33,000 BHP shaft power ( base ) and would most likely fit into one of those cylinders ( 9000 rpm hp spool 5000rpm mp spool speeds )

we could change one out in 24hrs dont ask

I guess these days the only thing we make in the UK is tea
