They cannot be serious

I'm sitting at my Kitchen table reading the paper, there's a story about a man in Ayr who walked out of a shop and dropped his tenner change and till recept on the street, two passing police saw him drop the tenner and fined him £50 for littering!!!!!

Clearly the local plod were doing their job.

Fancy a Scotsman being so careless with his money as to drop a ten pound note!

The £50 fine will teach him to be more careful with his money in the future.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

If you read the full story you'll see that the police were justified

Daily Express | UK News :: Fined £50... for dropping a tenner

Quote:
A force spokeswoman said: “An individual was seen throwing papers on the street. When he was approached and spoken to about it, he recovered the money he had thrown away but repeated his actions with the papers. He was therefore ticketed.”

I like the following reply:
Cannot work due to Arthritis, indeed !
He is obviously fit enough to walk around littering our streets with £10 notes.

From where does such an unemployed layabout aquire so much money ?
He receives as much as one hundred pounds a fortnight, I read !!
For doing nothing !

Surely, our Labour party leaders will put a stop to this extravagant waste of honest, hard working taxpayer’s money.
Giving out such large sums of money to people who are quite happy to deliberately, fraudulently embezzle this money from us upstanding, honest citizens ?

On this particular day, he had about his person as much as £20.

It is obvious that he was so overwhelmed with the burden on his mind, the confusion, the responsibility of such a large sum of money, that he actually squandered as much as £ 3 on a completely unnecessary T shirt, whereas normally he would be buying his usual half crust of bread from the baker.

Congratulations to our wonderful, eagle eyed police-persons.
Indeed, it required the combined efforts of two of them, working together as a team to bring this despicable felon to rapid justice.

It may well be true that each of our litter-watch police-person peoples cost us taxpayers £475 a week, every week, ad infinitum......
Notwithstanding the extra bonus gotcha scheme for fining smokers having a crafty fag behind the bins.
Oh, and the 2.75 X overtime payments after 14:30 for working unsocial hours, but as the results spectacularly show here, our litter police – person peoples are worth every penny they earn, er...are given.

It is almost impossible to contemplate just how awful it would be if all of our streets were littered with £10 notes.

Re: They cannot be serious

I have no idea whether he is the victim of injustice or one of the many gits I see every day just lobbying litter all over the place.

Do we really think the coppers are going to ticket him for dropping a tenner and picking it up, leaving no mess on the street?

I suspect he picked up the tenner and sneered at the police. I see if all the time - receipts and fag wrapping and sweet papers adn everything. They open up twhetver they have and chick what they don't want away, no matter how close they ar to a bin (of which there are many in London).

Re: They cannot be serious

The thing that gets up my nose is those people who bring food onto a bus eat it and leave the rubbish behind for others to clear up.
I hate traveling in other peoples rubbish.
Plus a bus is less hygienic than the worse food shop which got closed down.
There are bins at or near bus stops.
