It ain't no XRV but ........

It is a Honda and a cousin of the Transalp.

Just a thought ........

If you had a KTM 990 that lights the fire inside, does distance great , you really loved and wanted to keep.

and........

If you had a Suzuki DRZ400 for real offroading and chucking about in the mud, but really not much use for road work.

and............

You thought you needed a captain sensible bike for doing your RoSPA stuff and nipping around when firing up the KTM was overkill.

Would you .........

Consider a 2000 Deauville 650 ??

Opinions please ????

Nice bike but I don't know why it needs to be so heavy.

It's the silverwing of it's day...

Rode the Revere, then the NTV and can understand why they did a faired version with built in panniers..

It really does though depend on what you want it for... personally I think the CB500/600S (if we're sticking with Honda's) is a lot better, more economical and easier bike for short/medium commuting/GP usage

I was considering an 04 Deauville 650 when I found the Transalp.
Two of my mates at work have Deauvilles and they both only get 140 miles out of a tank whereas the Transalp gets 170 Miles.
So I would rather get a Transalp.

I went to your favorite dealer to look at a Deauville when I past my test but ended up with your old Transalp result

If you're looking for something with fairing on, I'd go the opposite way and get an old BMW K75 or K100...

If I was commuting long distances in winter, I'd want to be on something like that...
