Hope all will be fine with your family Chris, best wishes for a speedy recovery. I came back from Scotland with a cold, my family wouldn't speak to me for a week after.

Blimey, Chris... what a worry, first one then the next!! Hope he gets over it as quickly as his sister! Thinking of you and your family.

My wife's sister and brother live in Singapore and after Sars, they are particularly nervous. Her brother has cancelled coming next weekend, even though we cancelled going to the opera (our first time, for an experiment) to incorporate his visit.

Her sister is over for a longer period so it may be that we see her later in her stay, but them it's as if we're lepers.

Local health advice is for those of us without symptoms still not to change our behaviour.

I am beginning to develop conspiracy theories.
    1. They don't have enough drugs to cope.
    2. They do have enough drugs but actually want everyone to get it in the hope that it builds immunity to a much worse strain they fear it will mutate into later.

I think Kate thought I might have it after I fell asleep early evening, was woken but went straight to bed just before 10 and slept to after 7 this morning.

I think I was just finally getting over The Longest Day.

Send him out traveling around on buses, that will cure him.
    Let everyone else catch it.

    Re: swine flu

The word from Molly's school is that this has been an outbreak of mild swine flu. They are to expect a much nastier version in the autumn but that those who had this version are likely to be immune to the bad variety.

So, all in all, good news that the Whealies have had it.

Making good of what seemed pretty dire at the time.
    Three possibilities:
    1. miss it completely
    2. Get the mild version and immunity to the bad version
    3. get the bad version

These are in order of personal preference.

That means, for now at least, all who have not had it are winning.
