Truely tragic. But as the father said, at least he got to hold his son, rather than getting a knock on the door.
You can only imagine the comfort that must have been to his son.
God rest his soul.

Awful. But like Tom says, in time I guess being able to be the one who was with his son in the final hours will come to be some kind of comfort to the father (as it must have been to the son). My thoughts and condolences to all concerned. Lou.

Hard to put it into words but I've a lump in my throat.
How many fathers have said "be careful" as their son or daughter leaves the house and never get the chance to say anything else.
