    New Logo Competition

    Hi all.
It's time to sharpen your pencils and get your mice moving because I'd like a new logo / banner for the XRV site....
    to replace this one......

    The brief is as follows:
To replace the picture of the Africa Twin with a more inclusive logo / banner that reflects not only the AT heritage, but also the fact that we cater for many other Honda models (and other manufacturers bikes as well come to that).
Size: Max 100 pixels high and can go to 1280 wide if you're doing a strip across the top.
This logo, design or banner could be used to transfer to mugs and clothing, but primarily it's for the web site.
I will need to own the chosen design, copyright, etc... and we must be allowed complete free rights to do with as we see fit.
All submissions should be provided as a source "full size" file such as psd or png, and the end product file jpg or gif sized correctly.

All entries to be emailed to the admin@xrv.org.uk email address please.
Questions in this thread or PM'd to me.

So what do you get in return?
Well I'm quite happy to credit you at the bottom of every page on this site. We get in excess of 5000 unique visitors per day so this will give you recognition and could drive web traffic to your commercial site?
I will consider paying for the design if you're a commercial outfit and you would like payment and it wins, alternatively I will donate a sum to charity, or I could do say a few years subscription to the site. Open to offers.

The closing date will be as soon as I reasonably feel we have enough entries, so get your skates on! I'd like to move reasonably quickly on this.

The winner will be chosen by the site voting as to which one they like.

Just to add some possible criteria you might like to think about:

Include the name: xrv.org.uk (I know it is obvious but in case you forget)
It needs to be usable in black and white too - for T-shirt printing and reflective stickers.
It would be useful if it (or a simplified version) could be embroidered and would work on any colour background (for fleeces etc).
Would it be easy to incorporate into other designs (such as for the National meet or the charity ride etc)?
There may be more but that's all I can think of right now.

Yes of course forgot about the URL!!

Although I'm not averse to a second simpler set of printable and embroiderable (is that a word?) graphics along the same theme if you want to use full colour photo's or anything in the banner. So for clarity one web banner / logo and one set that would work for printing, but along the same lines.

I also forgot to say that I will be moving the links in the top right hand corner so there will be no need to have a light background there so that they show up.

    Re: New Logo Competition

    Hi Snap.
I need them in exactly the sizes I've stated above, as they need to work in the forum header. They also have to work with the forum colours, so they need to fit in.
This isn't for the National Meet specifically although dependant on timescales that might be a possibility.
Lastly they need to be sent to admin@xrv.org.uk.
    Cheers

    Re: New Logo Competition

is this competition open only to those who can do all the computer-graphic-jiggery-pokery then?

cause i could sure come up with a design but couldn't possibly get it all formatted into any size or computer acceptable language.

if a cracking design is put forward by a non computer type, could it not be formatted into the slot you want by someone who can do all the pc stuff?

just trying to open the field a bit........
