I was just given a free bike, Honda VFR800

What a story behind this bike. A really good mate of mine bought this bike off Ebay for 2800 pounds 2 years ago. I chose the bike for him, and i went down to Cardiff on the train to collect it for him. When i arrived it was a really mint bike far better than we expected it had 15,000 miles on the clock

It was owned by a company of his that has recently gone bust, i gave him some good advice that probably saved his house for him and a lot of other assets, anyway he called me tonite and said the bike has only done 200 miles since he bought it, has flat tyres, a knackered battery, has been stored in a very dry underground carpark and is therefore really dusty and needs a huge clean. But is otherwise as it was bought in the picture above.

He told me thanks very much for the advice and that as he never uses the bike any more, i can have the bike for free as a present for the advice given !!!! what a result.

Tomorrow morning, i will collect a new battery, a can of fresh fuel, and my electric tyre pump and go and collect it, then the huge clean up.

Strange but when i was riding this bike home originally for my mate i knew that one day it would be my bike, i had no doubts about this, weird Eh?

So my little DL650 V Strom now has a mate

I got a VFR 750 in May as a mate to the TA and a project bike, quiet different as you'd expect. I was taken by the extra power initially, thats worn off now and its equal use between the 2 now. VFR - nice sweeping A roads, TA out in the hills.

    You lucky *****.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Brilliant luck - a bike widely rated as one of the best ever road bikes, for free.... for nothing (except some clearly well-used advice)..

    Congratulations

(and it needs a proper clean; could this get any better...)

Tart that up and get it on ebay and you might be able to buy yourself a decent RD04 with the proceeds.
